Uniweld Products (USA) Pte Ltd, was founded by Mr Sunny Bay in 1976, when Singapore went into industrialization. Having the foresight on the importance of specialization, Mr Bay focused the company in Welding and Safety equipment for the offshore, shipyard, fabrication and construction companies. It started its business with just Gas Cutting & Welding products, and subsequently through the years established itself as Exclusive Distributors of several reputable manufacturers in the region providing a wide range of equipment, including Welding Machines and Consumables, Pipeline equipment, Safety products and complete Accessories to support welding processes.

In the 1980’s , capitalizing on the region’s burgeoning offshore and marine industry, the company engaged a team of experienced buyers and made it a One Stop Shop for the ship owners, supplying welding to hardware and other miscellaneous products. In providing Personalized service, Uniweld aimed to make life more convenient for the end users and thus, became the pioneer in compiling the first catalogue in Singapore for the welding industry, since then others have followed suit.

In line with the government’s policies to expand in the chemical industry during the 1990’s, Uniweld’s interest turned from the declining offshore and marine industry to the petrochemical field. As welding technology has evolved, welders were looking for more convenient way to access high and difficult areas; thanks to the SAF (Air Liquide) technology, we supplied the first ever High Frequency Portable, Single Phase ARC/TIG machines.  In conjunction, Uniweld supplied customized welding electrodes for the use of cryogenic plants. The response from our client was so favorable that it sparked the challenged for Uniweld to continuously search for manufacturers who have the same aspirations that will open the door to the future in the welding and cutting industry.

With the turn of the new millennium, Uniweld acquired a larger and more modern facility with more floor space for storage, workshop, showroom and office. The building is equipped with modern communication facilities and, an allocated area for practical welding training and demonstration purposes. At Uniweld , we have a well-educated team of indoor and outdoor sales, coupled with technicians that provide reliable after sales service and efficient logistics team to ensure the goods arrive on time.

In this new millennium, Uniweld has explored into further areas such as Pharmaceuticals, Water Treatment and Desalination Plants. As the company, grows with the customers, we are always in search for reputable manufacturers who are able to meet the stringent requirements of these industries. In 2001, our company assisted some plants in qualifying Titanium procedures, with the full package of titanium products and welding accessories we provided.
